Research shows that engaging in hands-on projects allows individuals to channel their energy into a tangible, artistic experience. To reupholster a piece of furniture requires careful attention to detail and patience. A more focused and centered approach to the craft can act as a form of mindfulness, creating space to temporarily escaping from the pressures of daily life forging pathways and openings to receive different narratives about life, and mind, body and spirit healing.
For 10 years Teena's Legacy has been a "we come to you," organization. We understand that transportation is a major barrier in our communities, being able to eliminate this barrier to allow individuals to experience a transformative process is "Priceless."
Each workshop is designed to take you on a self-discovery journey, the number of days or weeks will determine how deep we will go within the process. We will use the old craft of reupholstering furniture to pull back layers, uncover truths, identify limiting beliefs, release old habits and break down barriers. Making space to answer 3 important questions: Who am? Where am I? and, Where and I going?
